Types of Industrial Uniforms in India

Factory Uniform — Shirt and Trouser
The most common industrial uniform format for manufacturing and light industrial settings. Cotton or poly-cotton shirt with matching
trouser. Practical for machine operators, assembly line workers and warehouse staff who do not need full-body coverage.
Fabric: 65/35 polyester-cotton for most applications. Pure cotton for very high-temperature environments.
Colours: Navy, royal blue, grey, olive green — all hide dirt and oil staining better than lighter colours. Department colour-coding is
widely used.
Price: INR 800-1,200 per set at 100+ pieces
Coverall / Overall
Single-garment full-body coverage. The correct choice for workers in oily, chemical or high-contamination environments.
Standard coverall: 65/35 poly-cotton, zip or button front, chest and side pockets. Navy, grey, orange.
Anti-static coverall: Woven with carbon fibre grid to dissipate static electricity. Required in electronics manufacturing, chemical plants
and fuel handling.
FR (flame-resistant) coverall: Required for welding, electrical work and any role with open flame or arc flash risk. Certified to EN ISO
11612 or equivalent.
Hi-vis coverall: High-visibility orange or yellow with reflective strips. Required for construction, road work and airport ground
operations.
Price: INR 950-1,500 per piece (standard) | INR 2,000-4,000 (FR or anti-static) at 100+ pieces
Mechanic Uniform

Specific design for automotive and engineering maintenance roles. Reinforced at knees, elbows and seat. Multiple pockets for tools and
parts. Oil and grease-resistant fabric treatment standard.
Price: INR 1,100-1,600 per set at 100+ pieces
Hi-Vis Workwear

High-visibility yellow or orange vest, jacket or shirt with retroreflective silver strips. Required on construction sites, road maintenance,
airport airside operations and any outdoor work near vehicles.
Price: INR 400-900 per piece depending on coverage level
Industrial Polo / Work Shirt
Branded polo t-shirt or work shirt for supervisory roles, technical sales and quality control on-site. 200 GSM polo with logo embroidery.
Price: INR 500-700 per piece at 100+ pieces
Fabric Guide for Industrial Uniforms
65/35 polyester-cotton — standard for most industrial applications. Durable, colour-fast, easy care. Not suitable for high heat or flame
exposure.
100% cotton — better for foundry, forge and any high-heat environment. Burns rather than melts — critical because synthetic fabrics melt onto skin when exposed to flame.
FR (flame-resistant) treated cotton — cotton treated with FR chemicals to self-extinguish when flame is removed. Treatment
degrades over washing cycles and must be re-certified periodically.
Inherent FR (Nomex, Proban) — FR property built into the fibre structure. Does not wash out. Required for electrical workers, welders
and petrochemical operations.
Anti-static — carbon fibre grid woven into fabric. Required in electronics manufacturing, explosive environments and fuel handling.
Ripstop — reinforced weave that prevents small tears from spreading. Used for maintenance workers and construction.

Department Colour Coding — Indian Industrial Standard
Navy blue: Production / assembly line
Orange: Safety / HSE team
Grey: Maintenance / engineering
Green: Quality control
Red: Fire safety / emergency response
Yellow: Warehouse / logistics
White: Management / supervisory
MUNI manufactures to any colour specification. Pantone-matched custom colours available.

How to Order Industrial Uniforms in India
Step 1 — Conduct a hazard assessment
Identify the workplace hazards your workers face. Heat, chemicals, moving parts, vehicles, electrical hazards and fire all require specific
fabric and design responses.
Step 2 — Define by role
Map each role to a uniform type. Production operators, maintenance staff, supervisors and management may each need different
specifications.
Step 3 — Specify safety requirements
If FR, anti-static or hi-vis is required, confirm the certification standard. MUNI supplies certified FR and anti-static fabrics to IS or EN
standards.
Step 4 — Sample and test
Have workers wear and work in samples for a full shift. Industrial uniforms need to be comfortable for 8-12 hours of active physical work.
Step 5 — Place bulk order
MOQ 100 pieces. Pan-India delivery 4-6 weeks after sample approval.
